Consecration of the Parish of St. Therese of the Child Jesus in Abbeville, LAOn Saturday, December 12th at 9:00 a.m., in the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Fr. Gregory Cormier OCDS, held a Solemn Mass were his parish of St. Therese of the Child Jesus in Abbeville, LA, was consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  About 70 people were in attendance for this special occasion, including Fr. Corey Campeaux (pastor of St. Peter in Gueydan, LA) who con-celebrated the Mass.  Also in attendance were Mission members from Gueydan.   These are some excerpts of Fr. Greg’s remarks during his homily:Ñ The power and majesty of the love of God gives us the strength in our weakness to become better witnesses.Ñ The powerful image of the Holy Family is the image of the holiness of family life by which God wishes to be in place in the world.Ñ We are called to receive from the Blessed Mother a “revolution of love” as we receive Christ into our lives so that we too can be part of that great revolution which will transform the hearts and minds of men and women.Ñ By surrendering ourselves to God, may He who begins the great work in each of us bring it to completion, as we become better witnesses of Him in the world. The faithful, who attended the rest of the Masses celebrated on the weekend, were also invited to consecrate themselves to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
