Center for Recovery and Rehabilitation for Alcoholics and Drug addicts

On Saturday March 19th, the Center for Recovery and Rehabilitation for Alcoholics and Drug addicts “CRREAD”, in Uruapan was consecrated to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Fr. Rafael Lopez Orozco who ministers the Center celebrated the Eucharist at 11:00 a.m. 47 people were consecrated between the inmates and the leaders of the Center. In his homily, Fr. Rafael mentioned that just as St. Paul said “I do the evil I don’t want to do and stop doing the good I want”, that they too when they did something evil, their families became worried and afflicted. That they should remember they are in this world for only a short amount of time before they are in the Presence of God so it was necessary to strive to not harm themselves nor others. That they should forget about vengeance and resentments and ask Our Lady of Guadalupe for Her help. That just as She had told St. Juan Diego She tells them also: Am I not here I who am your Mother? He also told them that with this Consecration, God would give them the help they needed to recover and leave and that the Blessed Mother had gone to share their sorrows and concerns for She would remain Enthroned in their midst. After the Consecration Mass, the Enthronement was carried out and they were invited to form a prayer cenacle once a week. Then they shared in a small meal that the Mission committee provided which included a cake to celebrate this “day of feast in heaven and on earth.”
