JRM’s Health Update April 11, 2015

Unfortunately, the cancer is now spreading especially in the liver and a flap of skin is growing over the stent they recently put in the esophagus causing not only discomfort but also the inability to eat. I am suffering 24 hours a day in deep pain as I now have chemo poisoning. I have been having chemo consecutively for over one and a half years now and my body had enough. Last month I could not swallow and the doctors decided to give me radiotherapy on top of the chemotherapy. The result was chemo fatigue which has me in bed now unable to lift my arms past a certain point and unable to walk properly as the muscles have pretty much atrophied and the depth of the pain is incredible, especially if I move the wrong way in many parts of my body. I have lost a lot of weight n I am very weak. The doctors have decided to stop all therapy and they told me there is nothing more they can do for me. I am very tired and the constant pain has taken its toll. However, spiritually speaking, I am fine and looking forward to Our Lord healing me if it is God’s Will. I really miss the Mission; I miss preaching and talking to people about the Father. I only wish things could be different but it is what it is and I have to find a way to make the best of a bad situation.
