Remembering JRM's Advent message

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, As we approach this time of Advent we begin to think about the Holy Family and the meaning of the birth and gift of Our Lord Jesus. When we gather around the Christmas tree this year and look at our family, we also understand that our life and our family are gifts from God. I would ask you to take a moment this year to comprehend the gift of your life and its meaning… Each one of us has a responsibility to understand it because each of us has an accountability in front of God for how we use that gift. It is very important in this year of faith that we begin to understand deeply that God truly exists and He loves us… That we are His children and He is our Father but to begin to know this not only in our minds but especially in our hearts. As we approach the last days of December there is much confusion in the world about the future and I tell you this: the reason that many people feel an urgency about the coming times is because of the way in which we are leading our lives and ignoring our responsibilities as children of God. As such, there is an uneasiness which is a gentle but firm breeze from God that is blowing once again throughout mankind in these times; we are uneasy because the world is abandoning God and the Father has once again felt it necessary to remind us of His Commandments and His existence… that is what we are feeling in our hearts and each of us is called to do something about it. I know that there are a lot of messages, there are lot of things being spread around that are only increasing our levels of anxiety, fear and questions in the world in this time. It is very important that we understand that the reality of what is happening in the world as it departs from God is enough without these other things… just seeing and knowing that is enough; we don’t have to search any deeper than that to know that the world is in deep trouble and the only way out of it is if I change, as we can no longer wait for others to solve our many problems; it is personal change which is required in these times, not what is going to happen in December or any other time because of this or that prophecy. Everything is according to God’s plan and if enough of us change and return day by day to Our Father then there is time for each of us. All that is needed now is to know that God exists, He loves you and you are His child; but to be his child you have to be that son or daughter each day, day by day, in order to be the created son or daughter of God. It is simply, to understand the real meaning of the gift of our lives. So, as we approach this coming year, it is with great joy that I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and with great anticipation and hope for next year being a year where Our Lady of Guadalupe and the call of God in this world and His message of love and unity will prevail among His children.
