Caserío La Esperanza

On July 7th thru the 9th, a formation retreat for the new missionaries of the Mission For the Love of God, was held in El Caserío La Esperanza in Ambato, Ecuador. The retreat took place in the church of that place, with the support of the parish priest and two missionaries from the city of Quito.
23 missionary families attended, and among them were 6 young people who participated in order to begin the youth group of the Mission For the Love of God in that locality.
On Friday July 7th, all participants were welcomed and were told of the activities that would be taking place and were introduced to the missionaries that would be serving them during the retreat.
On Saturday there were 5 different talks:
1. Getting to know me and others
2. Treatment of love, the mercy of God in my life
3. The Mission For the Love of God Worldwide
4. The 4 Cornerstones
5. Establishment of the group Mission For the Love of God at Caserío La Esperanza
Finally, on Sunday July 9th, the retreat ended with the Eucharist celebrated solemnly by the parish priest. In this Eucharist, 53 families participated and consecrated themselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to the Immaculate Heart of Mary through the Enthronement of Our Lady of Guadalupe in their homes. Father congratulated them and asked them to kneel and proclaim together as one voice the consecration prayer and ended it giving a special blessing to all of them.
At the end of the Eucharist, the new coordinators of the Mission for the territory of El Caserío were formally presented to all of the community. Father asked them to go in front of the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and after congratulating them for allowing themselves to the God’s instruments for this new mission, he blessed them. The community was also advised of the new prayer cenacle that will be gathering at the church on Fridays at 7:00 p.m. so they could join them.
The retreat concluded with a prayer of surrender and thanksgiving to Jesus and Mary for everything they were able to experience during those 3 days and with the commitment to help the group grow and continue forming themselves daily with the Word of God and the prayer of the Holy Rosary.
