ENTHRONEMENT OF OLOG IN HOUMA/THIBODAUX DIOCESE

The Spanish Ministry at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux, honored in a very beautiful way Our Lady of Guadalupe at Holy Mass on Mother’s Day, May 11, 2014, led by Fr. Isaias Galvez. Before Mass began, Father led a procession of Our Lady’s Relic Image in the very large parking lot of the Church. All those present followed to honor Our Lady while a Rosary was being prayed. Some of the Mexican parishioners dressed in full Indian garb danced to a drum beat all around Our Lady for the entire procession. It is a tradition the Spanish do to honor Our Lady.After the procession she was carried into the Church to proceed with Holy Mass for the enthronement of the Relic Image. The Pastor at Christ the Redeemer is Fr. Mark Toups and he has opted to keep the Image permanently at this church.
