Monsignor René Coba, military Bishop of Ecuador, invited the Mission to accompany him to the celebration of Holy Tuesday, at the Ministry of national defense premises.
The ceremony was attended by all commanders of the 3 branches of the Armed Forces of Ecuador and all military personnel of the brigades from the city of Quito.
The ceremony had a deep sense of faith and gratitude and the renewal of the armed forces commitment to keep the peace in the country, as Monsignor Coba reminded them that their consecration to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, made them accountable to live an honorable life of service and sacrifice for others.
Monsignor Coba, performed an act of humility, asking to be imitated and proceeded to perform the ceremony of washing of feet to the commanders of the branches of the armed forces. "Be humble as Jesus was, you are called to serve and teach by example, be humble of heart"
Father José Fabián Camayo, spiritual adviser to the mission, also participated in the preparation and celebration of the Holy Mass.
